Funding

Our dojo is run as a not-for-profit society. All student fees collected go directly back into providing our programs. All instructors volunteer their time with the exception of special seminar events that we occasionally host.

We would also like to gratefully acknowledge the support of the Alberta Lottery Fund and the Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commision with fundraising assistance for our programs. With revenue acquired through charitable Casino and Bingo Licenses granted by the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission and committed volunteers assisting at these events we have been able to lease and renovate our permanent main dojo location and provide better service to the community.

In March 20, 2007, we received a 50% matching Community Initiative Program (CIP) Alberta Lottery Fund grant to help us purchase 63 mats for our SFC and ACS community centre programs.
